Introducing Igor Rezende Ferreira

By LANDED Team • 17 August 2022 • 2 mins read

I’m very excited to introduce the one and only Igor, our Principal Designer here at LANDED. Igor started working remotely before working remotely was cool. He is originally from Brazil, but left home in 2014 (8 years ago) to travel around the world. He has no fixed address and has been working remotely ever since! Igor was excited to discover LANDED and claim an opportunity to work with a diverse team of people from across the globe.

I am lucky enough to work closely with Igor and hear his stories from his travels. As Principal Designer, Igor will passionately tell you how important travel is to his work. Travel keeps him inspired and allows his creativity to flow freely. Since joining the LANDED team, he doesn’t have to travel as far for inspiration. When asked what inspired him about working at LANDED, he responded “The people. Working with these guys every day is a blessing - They are from everywhere. Different countries, cultures and values. Each one has great experience, extensive knowledge. Freedom to create and be heard, the freedom to be wrong sometimes and learn.”

Igor has an eye for design and can truly beautify anything (even data!) It’s awesome to see how he weaves his life experiences so naturally into the work he creates. He turns not only my crazy ideas into tangible (and beautiful) graphics, but he is constantly brainstorming out of the box ways to solve problems and tell stories with his designs.

He is a huge asset to our team. Igor completely redesigned LANDED’s entire website. Him and his engineering colleagues were able to build out a 15+ page website “in no time”. He mentioned that there was a good amount of research involved in building out the website, but “...through it we can understand the quality of the LANDED brand image we are building.” A task some may view as daunting, is just another day in the office for Igor. He makes it look easy! (and pretty too)

With so many exciting projects coming down the pipeline, I asked Igor what his favorite project he’s worked on with LANDED has been thus far. “So far LANDED repositioning has been my favorite and biggest challenge here. Each one of us is doing our part. I am in charge of making sure that LANDED has stunning, appealing and perceived graphic visuals. We are just starting, but our main goal is to make LANDED a recognized, strong, and mature brand.”

I asked Igor to tell me how his family and friends would describe him in 3 words. He said:

Free Spirit - [ free-spir-it ]
noun;
A person with a highly individual or unique attitude, lifestyle or imagination

Minimalist - [ min-uh-muh-list ]
adjective;
Being or offering no more than what is required or essential
an energetic leader.

Curious - [ kyoor-ee-uhs]
adjective;
Eager to learn or know; inquisitive

If you could give a piece of advice to your younger self when you were job searching, what would it be?

“The basics - be patient, choose well where you are going to work, because the company culture has a big impact on your performance and your personal life. At the end of the day nobody wants to work in a toxic environment. Prepare well for the interview, research the company and study the position well - go there and shine.”
